I’m Mark Goodair, your Events Secretary. If you want to come on any of our trips, you can contact me by phone on 07908 553206 (new number), email or leave a message at the Red Shed (Wakefield Labour Club 01924 215626). A £5 deposit is required for bus trips. Principal pick-up points are South Kirkby Browns Coaches, Pontefract near Golden Ball and Wakefield Red Shed. When Northbound, pick-up and set-down in Leeds can be arranged. When Westbound pick-up and set-down just off the M62 can be arranged.

Thursday 5th July

branch meeting at the Reindeer starting around 19:30, minibus (sorry, not free) on offer afterwards to assist attendees from distant points bus 232 to Overton

Tuesday 24th July

open (and hopefully open-air) committee meeting at the Bingley Arms, Horbury Bridge

Thursday 2nd August

branch meeting at Revolutions Brewing, Whitwood 19:30

Saturday 18th August

bus trip to Stuart and Lynda Johnson's Foxfield Brewery and the Prince of Wales pub, then on to Lancaster

Tuesday 21st  August

open committee meeting at the Kings Arms, Heath Common starting 19:30 t.b.c.

Saturday 1st September

branch meeting at The Spread, Darrington starting noon (suggested Arriva 409 from Pontefract at 11:50), followed by a survey of Pontefract pubs

Saturday 15th September

survey of pubs in the Glasshoughton and Castleford area, starting noon at the Winter Seam, Xscape. If joining the cavalcade later, ring Mark or any participating friend to ascertain our progress

Tuesday 18th September

open committee meeting at the Little Bull, Middlestown starting 19:30

Thursday 4th-Saturday 6th October

Wakefield CAMRA Beer Festival at The Space

Tuesday 23rd October

open committee meeting at the Calder Vale Hotel starting 19:30 t.b.c.

Thursday 1st November

branch meeting at The Star, Netherton, suggested bus 231 from Wakefield at 19:00

t.b.c. visit to North Riding Brewery at Scarborough

Keep checking this page - we often get offers from brewers that we can't refuse, but at too short notice to get into the O to K Magazine.

For coach trips we ask for a £5 deposit , which is not normally refundable. It is usually also possible to pick up at Browns Coaches in South Kirkby, and en route for CAMRA Members from neighbouring branches where practical.
