Little Valley Brewery is located over 900
feet up on a former turkey farm in the South Pennines above Cragg Vale,
Hebden Bridge. It was founded by Dutch brewer Wim van der Spek.
In the far distance is Stoodley Pike. Yes those clouds did bring what they appear to be threatening! |

Organic malt is at the heart of Little Valley's organic beers. This principle is followed through in all the ingredients used, and a large proportion of the 50% of production that is bottled goes to the renowned Suma Wholefoods Co-operative. |

Once beer that is to be bottled has been
primed with organic sugar for the secondary fermentation in bottle,
bottles are at present painstakingly hand-filled, four at a time.

Little Valley's Alex Travis, who modestly
describes himself as a "dogsbody" receives a commemorative
certificate on behalf of the brewery from Wakefield CAMRA Chairman, Mark
Goodair.
Alex is actually the son of Paul Travis, proprietor of Beer Inn Print, whose stand is to be seen at many major beer festivals across the country. Prior to working at the brewery, Alex was known to many at the Fox & Goose in Hebden Bridge |
