Wakefield CAMRA just love the place, the beers and the lads so
much that they keep coming back for more.
Paul and Andrea Goose of the branch were lucky winners of a
day's brewing at Acorn, donated as a charity draw prize at Merrie City 2004 by
the brewery, so they were very keen to see the progress of the Christmas brew
"Second Nol" which they had a hand in. Click on any photo for a higher definition version.

Souvenirs, souvenirs
Acorn Brewery of Barnsley has
some very good quality black sweatshirts at 15 and polo shirts at 10
both with the Acorn logo. Two good things (1) they wash and wear well
(2) they dont only come in Rent-a-Tent sizes, the sweatshirts even in
small and medium, modelled below left by assistant brewer Steve.
Your best bet is to call at the brewery between 8 am and
4 pm weekdays. Its just off the main A633 into Wombwell from Stairfoot,
Mitchells Enterprise Centre is signed off the roundabout. Show a
CAMRA card for a 10% discount! (taken from O-to-K January 2005, magazine
of Wakefield CAMRA) |

The Branch love the place so much that they keep coming back. In November
2005 a brewery visit was a chance to present acorn with a certificate
marking the selection of Acorn Old Moor Porter as Festivalgoers' Choice at
Merrie City 2005.
