Situated partway between Pontefract and Ackworth in an idyllic rural setting, a recently refurbished multi-areaed pub and restaurant but with a cosy and friendly atmosphere.
There are 3 handpumps. John Smiths Cask+ 2 rotating guests as well as lagers and wines..
A menu that�s certainly not run-of-the-mill awaits you with an extensive selection of imaginative dishes including a specials board which specialises in fish including Sea Bass, Scallops, Mussels and Salmon, in a variety of sauces.
The majority of vegetables are freshly prepared and desserts, home made. Although a typical children�s menu is also offered, today�s more sophisticated kids can have a � price children�s portion of most items on the main menu.
Food is served 12- 2pm, and 5 � 9pm Tuesday �Sat Sunday Lunch 12 � 3pm (although there�s plenty of room it is popular so we suggest booking for Fri/Sat evening)
If you want food for free, go on quiz night, which is a Tuesday when Iain�s chef does something like giant pizzas all round at the supper break. Pub Hours: daily 12 until closing except Mon open from 7pm. Outside is a patio area, grassed areas, a children�s climbing frame and a go-kart track. Full disabled access and facilities.
