Station House: The Incredible Tilting Mash Tun

The secret of successful microbrewing without your brews turning rammy on you is cleaning cleaning cleaning. One of the most irksome tasks is clearing out the spent grains from your mash tun. Some microbrewers just accept that it's a back-breaker of a job. Others are fortunate that their vessel has an entry port on the side. Barrie's solution is to set his mash tun on a sort of gimbal.  Wind the handle and the whole thing tilts. (Mash tun is clad in foil-covered insulation)
