This brewery was founded Spring
2005 by ex car worker, ex community worker Barrie Davidson
with the assistance of his wife Hazel Catt in an industrial
unit at Ellesmere Port. The original intention was to house
the brewery in the old station building at Frodsham near where
they live, but as a result of changes in planning rulings they
are here, in a building with considerably less charm, but a
lot more practical space. The hoppy beers
are often available at local Wetherspoons, and the brewery
also supplies the Helter Skelter at
Frodsham.(click on link to see), as well as free houses in
Chester and the Wirral. Distribution across the North of
England is through Boggart Hole Clough. Among early awards
gained by the brewery is a 3rd Overall in Champion
Beer of Wakefield at the 2005 Merrie
City Beer Festival
