Quite a special occasion for Clark's, this new beermat was brought out in Summer 2007.
Founded 1905 largely with money from Kingswells the Wakefield drapery store, H.B.Clark & Co Ltd (later H.B.Clark & Co (Successors) Ltd) brewed on and off for the free trade until 1960. In the 60s and 70s, it was just a drinks distributor, but a small new brewhouse was built in the yard, brewing cask ale only, in 1980-82.

From the Clarks estate there remain two tied houses whose names play upon the Henry Boon Clark who was the original H.B. The brewery also had stakes in a number of other pubs and clubs. The Kings Arms once owned by Clarks is managed by Ossett Brewery. They also distributed to the free trade through depôts at Wakefield, Lofthouse, Huddersfield (formerly Pickards), Keighley, Sheffield, Hull, Worksop, Newcastle, Poulton-le-Fylde, Stockton and Stockport.
